In 1834, New York Yearly Meeting (Hicksite) set off Genesee Yearly Meeting. The new yearly meeting included Farmington and Scipio Quarterly Meetings in New York State as well as Upper Canada and Michigan. At the beginning, yearly meeting sessions were held in Farmington, New York; after 1860, these sessions were held alternately at Farmington and in Ontario.
